ASAP Computer Services is locally owned, operated and was established in 2000 in San Antonio Texas. Collectively ASAP’s technicians have over 150,000 hours in the field as subject matter experts in IT. We are currently hiring Fiber Optic Splicers.

32$ hr + $42.50 hr DAILY OT

Be a part of a professional fiber optic splicing crew! To clarify based on some confusion of applicants, please read below.

In a nutshell, we as a crew, install fiber optic lines as a subcontractor, on behalf of Goog and Chartr/Spectrm. THIS IS NOT A SERVICE CALL POSITION. The install team does installs all day at the same apartment complex or neighborhood. After about 200-5000 burns and installs (@ a month) our crew is done at that jobsite and ASAP moves on the the next apartment complex or neighborhood.

Must work in rain or shine (splice trailers and tents) in inclement weather and work on 24-36′ ladders and man lifts. OSHA lift certification and ladder training is a plus.

Schedule is Monday-Friday, with an occasional weekend, I only need the real hustlers and hard workers out there on my teams. No night shifts are available.

Overtime is paid California style, so if you work 9 hours on a Monday. That’s an hour of OT, you do not have to accrue 40 hours for OT to start.

You must own a cleaver, strippers, box wrench etc and have at least a 1/2 ton pickup or SUV with a receiver hitch and 5 pin tow plug for splicing trailer.

Required

Applicants must be 17 years of age or older.
Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
Truck or SUV 1 ton w Receiver hitch.
Must have a cell phone with camera and internet.
Reliable transportation – pickup truck is a plus.
Ability to speak English in a clear, concise manner in order to communicate with co-worker(s) and foremen(s).
Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Applicants must qualify on a Physical Ability Test (PAT) prior to employment.
Applicants must be able to work outside in summertime
